Entry Procedure

Juried Fine Art Show open to all artists 18 years of age and over. Media accepted: Oils, Watercolors, Pastel/graphics, Acrylics.

Paintings entered into the 2008 Flight of the Dragonflies Juried Show will not be eligible. Paintings must have been completed within the last 3 years.  Size is limited to 24x36”.

The deadline for entries submitted on CD is August 3, 2009.  Mail CD to Sherrell Hazlewood, President, Fine Arts League  PO Box 376, Coleman, Texas 76834.

Entry fees:  $30 for up to 2 paintings; $10 each additional, no limit of entries

Format:
Two-dimensional art original in concept and design and not done under supervision.  No prints, photography, nor computer generated artwork accepted.  All images must be on CD in jpeg format, no less than 1 megabyte for each image, upright and not in need of rotation to view. 

Entry forms and entry fees for all images should accompany the CD. Identify the digital images by their titles.

Awards:  Only one cash award per artist with the exception of the Purchase Award* which can be in addition to any other Award.  Artist must elect to participate in the Purchase Award process by checking the box on the entry form. Awards are at the sole discretion of the Juror. No substitution or withdrawal of a painting after it has been accepted into the Fiesta Juried Art Show. 

           
            Shipped art work is to be mailed to Pink Flamingo Art Studio, 1212 Commercial Ave., Coleman, Tx. 76834 at artist's at artist's expense in sturdy re-usable containers with $10.00 handling fee enclosed. Must be postmarked by September 18, 2009.

Hand-delivered art work may be delivered  to 402 Commercial Ave., Coleman  on September 28 from 2-6 PM and September 29 from 9-12 noon.

All accepted artwork should be labeled on the back with artist’s name title of painting, medium, size and retail price. All work must be FOR SALE and reflect the valid price of current market value for the work.  Any art sold as result of this exhibit, the selling artist may make a donation of 20% (or more) of the sales price to support the Fiesta Juried Art Show.Insurance:  is the responsibility of the artist. 

Coleman Public Library or the Fine Arts League of Coleman Co., Inc., will not be responsible for any  loss or damage to paintings.

“I agree that, if chosen, one of my entries may be included in the Power Point Critique presented by the Juror.”

The Exhibit will open at 10 am and close at 5 pm each day.  During the day, there will be artists present to do “paint-offs”  for silent auction.

Friday Oct. 2  the Awards Preview will be from 6-8 pm.

Saturday Oct. 3.  Auction will close at 3 pm on Saturday; pick up paintings at 5pm.
