Jo Beck Art Wins in Killeen

The Killeen Civic Art Guild has completed its Annual Competition. The show hangs 5 weeks at the Convention Center. This Year's entries totaled 185, divided into 7 categories: watercolor, oil, mixed media, sculpture, photography, acrylic and graphics. First, Second and Third were awarded in each category and an overall Best of Show. Member, Beck entered the divisions of acrylic, watercolor and mixed media. She placed first in Mixed Media, First in Watercolor, And Best of Show. The Best of Show was an acrylic painting titled "Anyone for Lunch?"

Jo has served as juror for one of the Art League's Open Shows in the past. She has also taught watercolor workshops here. Ms. Beck Is a member of the Fine Arts League of Coleman County, Inc., who lives and paints in Clifton, Texas.
