Fine Arts League member, Jo Beck, presented a Workshop on September8 & 9 2010 in Ballinger at the Do-Art Studio. The
Studio is located at 108 S. 9th.
This was an acrylic and watercolor class and was experimental in
content, surfaces - gessoed, gel medium, canvas, paper and collage.

Thirteen ‘students’ gathered Wed., Thurs, Fri. for a fun-filled, informative class with Clifton, Texas, artist, Jo Beck. The group was given suggestions, and examples of how to create a different kind of art with unusual surfaces and tools – bringing out the “creative soul” each of us has. After ‘practicing’ several of the techniques, a critique of the class’s work was given at the end of the Friday session.
The workshop was sponsored by Heritage Hall – Board members, Kathy Andrews and Kay Mitchell headed up the project, and managed to get a little painting done as well.
