FALCC members, Sherrell Hazlewood and Theda Rhea, participated in a 2-hr. quick draw at Abilene's Hilton Gardens Friday, on March 6. The event was sponsored by the Texas division of Holistic Management International, an international ranching organization. Some 200 members of the audience enjoyed dinner and an interesting presentation by Author, Elmer Kelton, as they watched Theda, Sherrell, Paul Friske, Lee Ann Goode and an acrylic artist from Colorado City produce paintings for auction. Theda’s 15”X”11” pastel painting featured a young Navajo Cowboy. SLH produced a 9”X12” acrylic painting entitled “Texas Blue Bunnies Hang Out with a Visiting Texas Longhorn.

ThAdam has worked for Kroger Grocery in College Station
for the past two years sacking groceries, etc.
When the management saw his painting and read the story of "My Ladies and the Rose",
they asked him to help the breast cancer campaign by selling prints of his paintings
for at least $10.00 each, and whatever else buyers wanted to donate.
Each weekend in October he sold over $100.00 worth and it all went to the fund.
Adam, of course, is very proud of it and glad to help the fund.
