January 2009 Newsletter
Fine Arts League of Coleman County

Hello again, and Happy New Year to all! Seems like so long since I've seen all of you. So much has happened, and we have all been so busy - But ---it's time to get in gear again and make this year one of the best ever for our Fine Arts League - Aren't we all so proud of our league and of all our members who seem more like sisters and brothers ? - I miss everyone so much when we are not busy doing shows or something - 'Course, I haven't done much lately but nurse my sick foot, and I'm telling you right now that I am tired of it!! Thank goodness it is much better, and I really do believe I might live a little longer.

From our newly elected President, Sherrell Hazlewood - He is getting started in the right direction by presenting the program for our January meeting - The meeting will be on January 15, 2009 at the First Coleman National Bank Building Clubroom - 6:00 p.m. The program will be a TexasBlue Bunny production, with the title - "Inspiration to Interpretation and What Can Happen in the Process" - The program theme is to show how artists can create new interpretations of what everyone else may see. He will also show an interesting power point on Van Gogh paintings. This promises to be a wonderful program, and we know it will be lots of fun!

Our December meeting was sooooo much fun - Lots of goodies, and things, and the installation of the officers for this next year. Sherrell Hazlewood- President, Virginia Bethke-Vice President-Secretary, Robin Black-Treasurer-Dollie Sparkman-Telephone-Theda Rhea,
