John Queen, Sculptor,
Honorary FALCC Member
and a
"Friend of the Arts"
The late John Queen, noted sculptor and "Friend of the Arts" was a true gentleman and artist. John was always willing to make his sculptures avaliable at FALCC art shows and share his knowledge of art with the youth of Coleman County. He is credited with starting the FALCC Scholarship Fund.
John is credited with establishing the Sculpture Department at Texas Tech University where he taught for 31 years. John and his wife, Avis, retired in Coleman in 1988. John passed away June 29, 2010.
