Coleman County Youth Alert!!!!!

Time to get out the art supplies and start creating your work for the ANNUAL YOUTH ART SHOW, sponsored by the Fine Arts League of Coleman County, Inc. , and the Coleman Public Library .  

The Show will continue from Feb. 7 through Feb. 11, 2012 at the
Coleman Library Tillman Room.      

       

Registration and entry will begin Saturday, February 4, during library hours.

Earlier entries will be accepted by appointment. 

           

The Youth Art Show is open to all Coleman County students through high school. This Annual Show is dedicated to the artistic and educational advancement of our young people. 

The purpose of the Annual Art Show for the youth is to provide young people interested in art the opportunity to exhibit their work in competition. 

It is a valuable tool to encourage the appreciation of the arts.   

         

Rules of Entry

Maximum of 2 pieces of artwork by each student.

Paintings in any media are accepted in size up to 18 x 24.

All work must be the original work of the student.

Works deemed inappropriate for public display
(by building management where exhibit occurs) may not be exhibited.

Works too large or unstable may also not be exhibited.

Five divisions

1. Sculpture

2.Kindergarten through 2nd grade

3. 3rd through 5th grades

4. 6th through 8th grades

5. 9th through 12th grades.

Chosen from all entries into the Show

Each category (shown above) will have First & Second Place awards 

The Awards Ceremony to be scheduled. 

The Show is open to the Public and everyone is encouraged to come and see the wonderful creativity of the youth of Coleman County.

Prizes will be Art Supplies

Liability

The student and parents assume responsibility for all artwork.

Art work must be picked up on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012
between 1 pm & 4 pm
